Goddess of love, beauty, desire and sex. Symbols include the dove, scallop shell, pomegeranate, apple, bee, swan, myrtle, rose and seashell. Daughter of Ouranos, (blood dripped onto the earth and into the sea. Married to Hephaestus, although she cheated on him frequently, most notably with his brother Ares. Her name gave us the word 'Aphrodisiac'.
